Finding the Best Folding Incline Treadmill

Finding the ideal treadmill that folds to fit your needs can be an uphill climb. Finding the best option among the many low-cost options can be even more challenging.

This budget choice may look simple, but it's an absolute powerhouse when it comes to fitness capabilities. It has 12 levels of incline, and it can go up to 12 mph. It can be folded and slid under a bed to keep it in storage.

1. SereneLife Folding Treadmill with Incline

A treadmill that folds up is a great choice for anyone who wants to exercise at home but isn't ready to dedicate a whole space to a fitness machine. These treadmills fold up or unfold easily and are ideal for small spaces and restricted living space. When not in use, they can be easily stored. Some models come with wheels that make moving them much easier.

One of the most well-known small, folding treadmills on the market is this model from SereneLife. It's designed to work with different heights and weights, with a range of adjustable settings. The treadmill offers a range of programs and features including Bluetooth connectivity as well as an LCD display. It also comes with 12 pre-programmed workouts. It can handle up to 265 pounds of user weight.

This particular treadmill features an hydraulic folding design which makes it simple to open and close. It can be locked into place for added safety. It also has an integrated safety switch to turn off power at any time, a digital display with touch buttons, and built-in cup holders as well as a magazine/book tray. Its 1-horsepower engine can reach speeds between 0.6 and 6 MPH. This makes it perfect for light jogging and walking.

SereneLife's folding treadmill is a great choice for those who want to exercise at home. The company only sells two treadmills, which means it's not a brand that is expected to be at the top of fitness technology. The treadmill is still quite modern and offers plenty for its low cost. Its deck is shorter to other treadmills. This might not be an ideal choice for those who are taller or have a higher step.

2. iFit 1250 Treadmill

This folding treadmill from NordicTrack has incline features that are suitable for power-walkers and runners. The frame and motor of this treadmill fold down are more durable than other treadmills at this price range. It also comes with a large deck that allows to run at high speeds. The running deck measures 20 inches in length and 60 inches in width that should be sufficient to accommodate runners of all heights. It's a little smaller than the decks of some other treadmills I've reviewed, but it's still a great size for most users.

The Commercial 1250 can track your heart rate via a SmartBeat wireless chest strap (sold separately), and the treadmill uses that data to automatically adjust the speed and incline according to your ideal training zone. This feature is referred to as ActivePulse and is a big reason why I like the 1250 more than similar treadmills at this price.

You can also enjoy iFit programs on this treadmill, which comes with an expansive collection of workouts and training videos featuring elite runners and coaches. The iFit program offers guided runs to destinations like Patagonia. The treadmill will still function in the event that you decide not to use iFit. However you won't be able to get the automatic adjustments and immersive training experiences.

The NordicTrack Commercial 1250 is a quite heavy for a folding treadmill and requires a substantial amount of space to operate. It is easy to move and comes with a 10-year warranty. The warranty is longer than that of some other treadmills at this price and is nice to observe.
